Belgian Derringer cal .44 The gun is in a very nice and well working condition. It is made in Belgium around 1867 with as an example a derringer model 1866. The barrel clearly states the text: E.REMINGTON & SONS ILION N.Y.ELLIOTS PATENT DEC 12M 1865. This model is very well made may be better than a true remington because of its better method to eject the cartridge. The cal. is 44 rimfire The pistol is not affected by rust and the springs are strong. The handles are of mother of Pearl. Only downside is that at left handle a small piece is missing. But this is certainly not disturbing. these derringers are quite rare certainly in this condition. Belgian Derringer cal .44 The pistol is very beautiful and Works well.
