Rooster clock - Warmink - 2nd half of the 20th century
Very beautiful Warmink Rooster clock with a gentle bell strike on the whole and half hour.
The clock is equipped with a ball pendulum and tear shaped weights.
Warmink was based in Almelo in the east of the Netherlands, founded in 1929 and stopped in 2001. At its height, in the 70s, the company had 270 employees.
The company focused on the production of wall clocks, table clocks (English), longcase clocks and barometers and produced clocks under the brand names Warmink and Wuba, which were mainly sold at trade fairs in Europe, the US and Japan.
The timepieces were hand crafted in the image of the antique original clocks, such as the painting of the dials and the intensive treatment of walnut and oak. This treatment, in unique the walnut varnish cases, gives the beautiful satin shine that is so characteristic of "Warmink" clocks.
