Soapstone incense burner with three Foo dogs - China - first half 20th century
Very nice Chinese green soapstone incense burner on dark red soapstone base from the first half of the 20th century. The incense burner in the shaped of a bowl with intricate openwork and surrounded by three Foo dogs. The whole placed on an on top of a lotus leaf on a band with a lotus flower and other floral motifs. The dark red base is made to look like the roots of the lotus.
Good condition, see images.
Some small chips due to age, the Foo dog on the lid has some minor white spots.
Measurements: 17 cm high (total) x 17 cm wide x 6 cm deep; 14 cm high without base.
