Admiring looks. Thumbs up. If you don't like to receive compliments when refuelling then you really shouldn’t place a bid on this car. It doesn’t get any cooler and sympathetic! This Grand Prix White 911S is from 1977. The last year of the coveted small body. The year of manufacture 1977 is also the most sought after year, because the 911 from that year is not only galvanized but was also provided with vents in the dashboard, hydraulic power brakes, an improved suspension and tinted heat reflecting glass. This 911S is also equipped with the rare M402 Koni option. The entire chassis is addressed by Erwin Jansen of Rebel Engineering. Among other things, by the right combination of shock absorbers, tyres, balancing, new steering and aligning this car drives like new. No shaking or vibrations. Also not at higher speeds. Partly due to the completely overhauled pedal cluster, the car is remarkably agile. Smoothly linking (clutch) and shifting through 5 speeds. The 2.7 engine is fitted with hydraulic chain tensioners and shows absolutely no problems. It starts right away, idles beautifully and responds without delay on the throttle. I have been having a lot of fun and had no problems while driving long distances to places such as Le Mans and the Black Forest.
In 2015, this car was purchased in Oregon from the first owner via a dealer/collector. Despite the lack of history, it can be seen that it is overall well taken care of. When the car arrived in the Netherlands, it was professionally equipped with a new, very thin coat of paint and lots of new parts. I bought this car in 2016, and since the delivery I have also spared neither trouble nor expense to get and keep the car in a 'daily driver' condition. The extensive documentation bears witness to that. Meanwhile, the car has been equipped with a Momo Prototipo steering wheel with a new eccentric steering wheel hub. In combination with the modified BF-Torino Le Mans seats, this provides the perfect seating arrangement for the taller driver. I have exchanged the miles odometer in June 2018 for a kilometre odometer at a well-known odometer and instruments specialist. The odometer is set at ‘0’ (documented). Last Dutch Periodic Vehicle Inspection (MOT) in August 2018. The original seats and the original steering wheel are also still present. I am selling this car because I want to switch to a Targa or convertible.
The car has recently been appraised by “Maikel de Munnik Taxaties” according to the stringent German Classic-Data standards. The valuation is determined at 57,500 Euros.
The car belongs to an enthusiast who already drives classic Porsches for 25 years. For a report of the car, please see RS Porsche Magazine 5 of 2018 for an extensive overview.
