Vintage table clock in pink marble with spelter sculpture (sculpture L'ART, par Victor Rousseau 1865-1954) - Art Nouveau Sculptor: Victor Rousseau 1865-1954 Born in Feluy on December 15, 1865 and died in Forest on March 17, 1954, he was a famous Walloon sculptor of Belgian nationality. Bronze sculpture: named "L'ART". (Allegory to Art). 35 cm height Woman with two flowers in her hair holding a document in Latin that says: Albo lapillo notare diem (Point to a day with a white pebble. Write it down between happy days). With the left foot on top of a book with the letters: Scientia ARS (the art of science) There is also a lyre on the floor. Sculpture signed: ROUSSEAU. Metallic plaque: l'Art par Rousseau. Clock: Veined pink marble Sconces and feet with flower decorations. Front lid in crystal. Back lid in metal.
