Early edition of the rare ‘Geneva Bible’ with Protestant annotations by Laurence Tomson as well as the further elaborated annotations on Revelations by Franciscus Junius, as usual without Apocrypha. With woodcut illustrations and maps.
Binding worn. Interior browned, water stain top left, especially in the OT, first pp. of OT spotty, NT with scattered spots. Occasional pp with small tears. Handwritten annotations on blank pages before title page NT. First pp. are missing, Genesis starts on p. 4. First page in a different condition with text by John Canne, from later Bible (?). Overall a fair copy of this rare Bible.
