Orange moon sand! Photos Apollo-17. During Apollo-17 the orange moon sand was discovered by astronaut Jack Schmitt. This set contains a beautiful slide (approx. 9 x 12 cm) from the lunar lander and the moon car of Apollo-17, a slide of the orange moon sand, which contains a lot of iron (approx. 7 x 7 cm) and 12 negatives 6 x 6 among others, from around the launch, coming from space reporter Piet Smolders who was present (7 December 1972). Finally another picture of the moon sand under the microscope!
