This affordable model has a newly designed 3x zoom lens and macro shooting mechanism. A compact full reflection mirror was fitted to create a single-lens reflex viewfinder. A very accurate exposure was ensured by means of a stabilised voltage exposure measurement circuit using a monolithic CI, the first in the world.
It was lightweight (only 470 grams) and easy to handle, with a plastic exterior, cartridge loading and a folding handle, which bent forward under the lens.
