Incredibly elegant and rare execution of a dress watch by the legendary IWC Schaffhausen with a solid 14 kt yellow gold case (the hallmark is in the interior of the case), an attractive ribbed crown, the famous Cal. 83 of manual hand wind, and an incredible dial with second dial at 6 o'clock. The watch was made approximately during the second half of the decade of the 1940s, in Switzerland.
For its age (almost 75 years), the watch is in good condition, works well and keeps the time precisely (tested).
