The Holy Bible of Canon Crampon under the supervision of Mr André Sauret.
Cercle du Bibliophile, 1961, 1 folio volume measuring 30 x 21.5 x 7 cm approximately, 1024 + 267 pages. Luxurious repoussé metal binding from the Roger Veihl workshops (Geneva), the front cover bearing a cross in the centre set with a red stone, surrounded by the twelve apostles, with 4 malachite cabochons, gilded edges.
A Christ on the spine of the binding and a cross in the centre of the back cover.
The printing and binding of this edition of "The Bible of Canon Crampon" is complemented by the portrait of His Holiness Pope John XXIII and 88 reproductions of works inspired by the most significant episodes of the Bible. Publishers in Tournai (Belgium).
Book in good overall condition, complete with all of its stones on the binding, some friction from use, tarnished silver plated metal on the inner edges of the covers.
Some sheets with slightly folded borders at the beginning and end of the volume.
