An English table clock in very good condition with signed moon phase indicator by John Tompion in London. The clock is made of beautiful walnut with bronze decorations. The dial is brass with black overprint and the numeral ring is silver-coloured with black Roman numerals and black hands. The movement is by Frans Hermle & Sohn. This watchmaker indicates the year of manufacture on the name plate at the back. In this case, it is 1987. The movement has a floating balance and runs well. The striking mechanism runs for 8 days after winding and strikes half hours on a double bell. The movement has been thoroughly checked and the casing has been cleaned, it is a clock which will give you years of enjoyment. Comes with winding key and a manual for setting the moon phase.
